Energise health and fitness in Christchurch is passionate about educating their members on how to lead a happy healthy lifestyle while achieving and maintaining their goals through Exercise, Nutrition and Mindset. Energise offers a fun, friendly environment that has a strong community of like minded people & trainers keen to achieve and help others achieve their goals. Energise has helped countless people achieve their goals in recent years. Finding the balance with exercise and nutrition, equipping you with the tools needed to succeed and stay on track despite all that life throws at us.

Most of our classes are held at 32a Hayton Road with some in Hagley park and surrounding areas.  With a timetable jam packed with over 30 classes a week, we have something for everyone. LORRAINE HEFFERNAN

Head Trainer

Interests: Trail running, Ultra distance, Adventure racing, Hiking, Reading self development books and most importantly being Mum.

Speciality: I’ve been a PT for over 11 years, I’m a busy mum of 2 who gets the juggle of life, understands the pressure we put ourselves under to do better, to be better and to achieve more. My passion is to help my clients to put a realistic plan in place, to make maintainable and sustainable changes that will see them achieve their goals and help them lead a happy healthy lifestyle.

I believe in balance, finding things you enjoy and making it part of your daily routine. No quick fixes just small maintainable changes that will last. I’ve helped 100’s of my clients achieve and smash their goals along with finding balance, structure and a fitness regime that works and more importantly is maintainable to their lifestyle. If you’re ready to take charge of your wellness I’d love to be a part of that journey.

ADRIAN DOYLE

Personal Trainer

Interests: Making use of the amazing NZ landscape! Really enjoy trail running, moving into ultra distance events over the last couple of years. Also a keen mountain biker, enjoy strength training & weights during the week before hitting the trails at the weekend.

Speciality: Strength training and weight programs, I really enjoy working with clients to understand what is important to them and then developing a plan to help achieve that goal. Generally most clients are pretty busy and don’t have a lot of spare time in today’s hectic schedules, so a key aspect is ensuring programs are effective and tailored toward the individual’s goals.

DEAN CHRISTENSEN

Personal Trainer

Interests: I really enjoy Martial Arts, Animal flow and ZUU.

Speciality: Mobility, Flexibility and Strength training are my passion. I really enjoy working with clients to get the right plan for them and their busy schedules, I especially enjoy designing programs for those stuck at an office desk all day or driving in their cars for long periods. When my clients incorporate mobility exercises into their daily routine they see the benefits really fast and soon begin to enjoy doing more exercise and getting out and about to move now that they can see the impact it is having on their overall wellness.

EILEEN FOYLE

Personal Trainer/ Physio

Interests: I love Gaelic games (both hurling and football), hiking and most definitely traveling

Speciality: I qualified as a Physio in 2012 and have  worked in private practice / sports physio ever since.  I completed my personal training examinations in 2018 and completed all my work experience at Energise Health & Fitness and have been part of the Energise family ever since.

My main areas I love to work in are fat loss, advanced gym based rehabilitation getting clients back to being stronger than ever esp. after an injury, I also love to work on injury prevention.

JAMES DEEHAN

Personal Trainer

Interests: All sports. Playing and watching. 10 yrs playing experience in the Mainland Premier with Nomads, Nelson Suburbs and Ferrymead bays. Keen to do more trail running when I hang my boots up!!

Speciality: Strength and conditioning work at all levels from beginners to professionals. Currently working with Ferrymead Bays senior football side and youth development. I love weight programs and active recovery/rebound sessions to get you prepared and ready for your next big session.

ANGELA GODFREY

Personal Trainer

Interests: I have played sports growing up and continue to play ice hockey, rugby and recently started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Training for rugby is where my passion for fitness began, incorporating  new techniques and drills to my own regime, seeing my strength, power and speed improve excited and intrigued me to learn more.

Speciality: I’m a trainer from Canada with three years of experience. I’ve learned how powerful movement can be and the amount of change it can inflict on a life. From a small change made in the gym a ripple effect of benefits will occur. I enjoy continuing to learn and improve to provide a great product for the client. There’s always more that we can all learn and work on ourselves and I’d be delighted to help you grow.

ANGELA HAMILTON

Masseuse

Angela holds a Diploma in Massage Therapy from Polytech Otago & has been a massage therapist for 10 years working at leading Day Spa’s from Hanmer Springs and Champs- Elysees Day Spa she incorporates a blend of deep tissue, trigger point, Swedish and sports techniques into her massage treatments.  Angela Specialise in keeping the body mobile and free from injury working closely with various physio and sports doctors in Christchurch helping her clients get back into doing what they love. Her passion is to prevent injury keeping the body balanced. Angela believes to relax the muscle you must relax the mind so be sure to book yourself in for one of her massages that will have you feeling Relaxed Revived and Restored in no time.

“I started a 10-week challenge with Lorraine to help improve my fitness for running; plus it was the perfect countdown to going on holidays too.

I hate training in packed gyms so I found the PT sessions great and loved going to her classes. Lorraine’s bubbly character is infectious and makes going to the classes a lot easier. Her patience & kindness with each individual person is amazing, taking her time to show how to do an exercise properly. Not only did I learn about how to stretch correctly but found the dietary aspect of this 10-week challenge a huge benefit.
